Located in the heart of New York City’s watershed, the Water Discovery Center is bordered by the East Branch of the Delaware River, adjacent to the Catskill Forest Preserve and the Catskill Park. The WDC is the product of the historic 1997 Memorandum of Agreement, that brought together the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the State of New York, New York City and the Coalition of Watershed Towns. The WDC is envisioned as a bridge between upstate and downstate communities.
